A. 7UP has always been made with the highest quality ingredients. It has 100% natural flavors as well as no added colors or artificial preservatives and no caffeine.

Q: Why have you made regular 7UP with natural flavors and no artificial perservatives?
A. Numerous consumers told us they wanted a carbonated soft drink without artificial flavors or preservatives that still delivered the same great taste of 7UP that they have come to love.

Q: What are the ingredients in 7UP?
A: The ingredients in 7UP are: filtered carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, natural flavors, natural citric acid and natural potassium citrate.

Q: What are the primary changes in 7UP?
A. We removed the Calcium Disodium EDTA, an artificial flavor preservative; and reduced the sodium content in the 12-ounce can from 75mg to 40mg – almost a 50% reduction.

Q: How did you reduce the sodium in 7UP?
A. We replaced sodium citrate with potassium citrate both of which regulate acidity in foods and beverages to help provide optimal flavor.

Q: What is the shelf life of 7UP?
A. The shelf life of regular 7UP is six months in cans and 13 weeks in PET (plastic bottles).

Q: Do other 7UP products contain artificial flavors or preservatives?
A. The 7UP portfolio of products offers consumers a variety of great tasting soft drinks for enjoying the crisp, refreshing taste of 7UP including 7UP PLUS, Diet 7UP, Cherry 7UP and Diet Cherry 7UP. Some of these options do include artificial flavors and/or preservatives.

Q: Is the Regular 7UP fountain formula the same?
A. No, the Regular 7UP fountain formula has not changed due to constraints of fountain equipment, therefore, we cannot deliver a product without artificial preservatives on fountain.

A. 7UP will always have a crisp, refreshing taste like no other soft drink/beverage. By removing all the artificial flavors and preservatives, we’ve ensured that 7UP has that crisp and refreshing 7UP taste.
